Toby’s House Crisis Nursery provides free emergency respite and temporary care for children ages 0–6. Our goal is to help prevent child abuse and neglect by providing a safe, nurturing place for children while their families navigate a crisis.
Our services are provided at no cost, with no income requirements. In addition to crisis childcare, we provide diapers, formula, home-cooked meals, and connections to community resources.
Your child’s safety and well-being are our highest priorities. Our staff complete FBI and state background checks and are trained in CPR and First Aid. Staff also complete at least 16 hours of early childhood education and specialized crisis training.
If your family is experiencing a crisis, Toby’s House is here to help. We provide a safe, caring place for your child while you take the time you need to address what is happening at home.
Please note that all childcare requests are accepted based on available space and the needs of the child. While we strive to support every child and family who reaches out, there may be times when we determine that we do not have the staffing, skills, or resources needed to safely meet a child’s individual needs. Decisions are made with the child’s safety, staff safety, and the well-being of our nursery environment in mind. We will always communicate with parents about these decisions and, whenever possible, help connect families with appropriate referrals and additional support.
